Vienna Marriott Hotel
The Vienna Marriott Hotel on Vienna’s Parkring is a true landmark. Renovating such a prestigious establishment during normal operations required a great deal of precision for planning interior design, construction logistics and realization. For Archisphere, the core of this task was Marriott’s strong brand identity. This should be reflected in both modern color and surface designs in public areas and the approximately 300 rooms and suites.
Constructed between 1983 and 1985 according to the plans of Harry Glück and Peter Czernin, the Vienna Marriott Hotel has since its opening stood for a unique combination of elegance and comfort. Maintaining these principles and at the same time bringing them to the present represents the fundamental idea for the three-phase transformation of this jewel. With construction work planned and realized by Archisphere, the Vienna Marriott Hotel in the heart of the city now shines anew on every level: from the individual rooms to the iconic restaurant areas, including the elegant Parkring Restaurant, the Garten Café with its traditional Austrian coffee drinks and the striking atmosphere of the Cascade Bar. Renovation took place within the challenging time frame of just three years: The redesign of the restaurant and kitchen in 2014 was followed in 2016 by the transfiguration of the spa area and the first half of the rooms. Again during normal operations, the second half of the rooms’ classic interiors were updated in 2017. The result: The rooms, suites and public areas of the Vienna Marriott hotel—one of the first five-star hotels renovated by Archisphere—are ready to welcome guests with new and elegant contemporary design. The interior was a joint product of Carbone Design and Archisphere.
