Äppelgrädgården is made up of four small neighbourhoods grouped around streets cleverly designed from the start to foster a sociable community. The development lies within a tranquil green space neighboured by schools, playgrounds and sports amenities.
Social areas of each house, such as the kitchen and living room, are orientated towards the front of the property facing the street, making it easy to greet neighbours.
The area in front of each property belongs to the residents, and are ideal spots to put out pots or tables and chairs, further lending to the inviting nature of each home.
Each street is designed as a semi-pedestrianised area. Homes feature covered spaces for residents to park their cars, while the end of each street opens up into a communal space ideal for children to play in, or for neighbours to put out tables and get together over a meal.
