Marienhøj of the future draws a clear profile into the landscape. The new lobby has given the Culture Center both a new profile that invites the citizens of Rudersdal in and a heart to gather and make the center’s many users and activities visible. The Culture Center merges with the green landscape – it builds a bridge between the arrival area’s cultural space and the beautiful backyard of Marienhøj. It opens up to its surroundings and incorporates the green qualities into the activities of the house. The house is at once both a cultural activity center and a sound workplace. Through reorganization and rebuilding more space is created for each activity and a more appropriate mutual positioning of the various functions come to life. At the same time a space for several cross-fields and rallying points are created that bind the numerous lives of the house together in order for new meetings and activities to occur across spatialities and functions.
