The concept for the refurbishment and departmental fit out of two floors takes the building’s transparency as the basis for creating an environment encouraging interaction between people.

TORM has a focus on sustainable practice and work environment. The office layout was required to support this focus.

There was a requirement for a good connection between direction, leaders and employees encouraging dialogue between departments and between employ¬ees.

The workplace environment is optimised through consciously creating a healthy, varied, inspirational and effective workspace.

The fit out for TORM underlines the intentions for social sustainability through the following points:

• The physical environment and interior climate

• Varied, functional and ergonomic workplaces

• Different meeting places

Inappropriate work patterns are the cause of many of today’s environ¬mental problems. Therefore changes in the way in we work can also create solutions for many of these environmental issues.
