Oxigen’s first prize winning scheme for the Canberra Parklands (2007) builds on to Walter Burley Griffin’s legacy for Canberra. These parklands occupy an area of 115 hectares located on the foreshores of Lake Burley Griffin at the central key point of the Canberra Plan. The scheme responds positively to the principles of the site, revealing the historic layers inherent in the Griffin Legacy and building on to the existing positive qualities and attributes of the site.
