While many cities around the world are furnished with cookie-cutter bus stops that are often emblazoned with advertising, the village of Krumbach, Austria, is taking a much different approach, inviting seven international architects to design one-of-a-kind shelters.
The designs by the architects—Alexander Brodsky, dvvt, Ensamble Studio, Sou Fujimoto, Amateur Architecture Studio, Rintala Eggertsson Architects, and Smiljan Radic—were presented last month at the Kunsthaus Bregenz, including the first stop by Chilean architect Radic.
