Qinwen Cai

After graduating from the Tsinghua University School of Architecture with multiple design awards to her credit, Qinwen Cai began her career as one of the primary designers at Urbanus, a prominent Beijing, and Shenzhen based architecture office. Working closely with one of their partners on a wide spectrum of projects, she gained substantial experience in China-based architectural practice.

Upon receiving her Master of Architecture from Cornell University she continued her career at Rafael Viñoly Architects PC, where she was involved in some of the firm’s most prominent commissions, both domestic and international. Her significant project experience and design knowledge allow her to manage projects at all stages, from conceptual design to construction administration, and all phases in between.

Dongyul Kim

Dongyul Kim is an Associate with Studio Link-Arc. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Kookmin University in Seoul, Korea, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. His work has been exhibited in New York and Philadelphia. He began his professional career at Studio Link-Arc, LLC as an architectural designer, where he has worked on many different projects, including OCT Shenzhen, the China Pavilion for Expo Milano 2015, CRLand Archive Library, 673 Fifth Avenue, Shanghai Future Park, and the Luhu Cultural Center. He is currently working on the Dream House Project and the Yinhu School Competition

Hyunjoo Lee

HyunJoo Lee is an Associate with Studio Link-Arc. She holds an undergraduate degree in ceramics from Seoul National University and master's degrees in architecture from Hongik University and Rhode Island School of Design. She brings unique experience and talent to Studio Link-Arc and has been involved in many projects in the office, including the China Pavilion for Expo Milano 2015, the CRLand Archive Library, the NSFL School, and the Nanjing Gallery.

Yichen Lu

Yichen Lu received a B.A. degree from Tsinghua University in China, and an M.Arch. degree from the Yale School of Architecture. He was the 1st Prize winner of the Ikuo Hirayama Scholarship in 1999, and the 2007 Robert Allen Ward Award at the Yale School of Architecture. His project, 'Planless House at Manhattan' was awarded 1st Prize in the 2006 International ‘Shinkenchiku’ Residential Design Competition. He was nominated for the 2008 H.I. Feldman Prize Nominee in Frank O. Gehry’s Advanced Studio at Yale.

Between 2008 and 2010 he worked as a project architect at Gehry Partners, LLP in Los Angeles and was responsible for the design of a series of projects, including the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. Between 2010 and 2012, Yichen Lu was a project manager at Steven Holl Architects, and was in charge of the firm’s many award winning projects in China. In 2011, Yichen Lu was nominated as one of 10 emerging young Chinese architects to provide an urban strategy proposal for 2011 Chengdu Biennale.

Yichen Lu founded Studio Link-Arc in 2012 and became an associate professor at Tsinghua University in Beijing that same year. He was awarded the Iconic Award by the German Design Council in 2014, and was listed in Design Vanguard 2015 by Architectural Record. In 2013, Yichen Lu served as chief architect for the China Pavilion for Expo Milano 2015.

This project, China’s first international overseas Expo Pavilion, opened to the public on May 1st, 2015. The China Pavilion was awarded the Bronze Medal for Architecture by the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE), and Class Expo Pavilion Heritage Awards by Class Editori. In 2016, the China Pavilion received the Gold Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts, and the 2016 Wood Design Award by the Wood Products Council.

Kenneth Namkung

A native of southeastern Virginia, Kenneth Namkung is a multifaceted designer with extensive experience on large institutional and cultural projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in architecture from the University of Virginia, where he was the production editor for Modulus 25, and a Master of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received the Marvin E. Goody Award. He brings strong design, technical and management skills to Studio Link-Arc.

He has been involved in many of Link-Arc’s most prominent projects including the China Pavilion for Expo Milano 2015, the NSFL School, 673 Fifth Avenue, and the Nanjing Gallery. He was deeply involved in coordination and editorial work for xPositions: Pavilion Dialogues, a monograph on the China Pavilion for Expo Milano 2015, edited by Original Copy and published by ACTAR, a prominent architectural publisher based in Barcelona, Spain.

Kenneth Namkung started his career with Rafael Viñoly Architects, where he was involved in many institutional projects including the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, the Helen Diller Family Cancer Research Building at the University of California San Francisco, and also involved in design competitions for institutional clients including: Harvard University, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Oxford. Working for Santiago Calatrava in New York, he was also a critical member of the design team for the World Trade Center Transportation Hub as well as a New Campus Complex for Yuan Ze University in Taiwan.

Razvan Voroneanu

Razvan has been involved in the design of the Future Park in Shanghai, as well as the Luhu Cultural Center and the Nanshan School of Foreign Language, both in Shenzhen.  He has taught architecture and urban design at Miami University, the University of North Carolina, Kennesaw State University, and Syracuse University.  His articles, drawings, and photographs, collected under the name Heteroscape, have been published widely and exhibited at venues in Atlanta, San Francisco, Istanbul, Venice, and New York.

Razvan holds an M.S. in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, an M.Arch from Miami University, and a B.Arch from the Technical University of Iași. He received the William Kinne Fellows Prize and the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Prize from Columbia University, and the AIA Henry Adams Medal, the AIA Ohio Foundation Award, and the Rudolph Frankel Award from Miami University.
