The third, and last day of the 2016 World Architecture Festival in Berlin saw presentations by category winners to the Super-jury and, following that in the evening, the announcement of the winners including World Building of the Year.
On the first two days of WAF architects presented their shortlisted projects to juries in various typological categories – thirty total – that were broadly split into Completed Buildings and Future Projects. The winners in each category presented once again on day three, this time to the so-called Super-juries, whose members are listed below alongside the relevant winners. Winners of the ninth annual awards were announced at the WAF Gala held last night at the Postbahnhof, Wilhelm Tuckermann’s Gothic masterpiece in the heart of Berlin.
