Born in 1955 in Hall, Austria, Helmut Angerer studied at the Polytechnic Institute in Innsbruck, Austria, where he graduated as Electrical Engineer in 1976. From 1977 to 1986 he worked at the lighting design office LichtLabor Bartenbach in Innsbruck, Austria, and Munich, Germany. In 1990, Helmut Angerer established Conceptlicht GmbH in Traunreut, Germany.
