In all the areas newly designed by GEPLAN DESIGN, Milan tells a story of a city of fashion and design. In the lounge of the Hyatt Centric Milano Centrale, the interior designers worked together with the Milanese street-art duo Nabla&Zibe.

Before the renowned Bosco Verticale is moved into the field of vision, the attention remains on the roof terrace of the Hyatt Centric Milano Centrale. In that place, which was designed by GEPLAN DESIGN as a kind of “urban jungle”, Milan can be enjoyed.

Here, too, a wow! moment: When approaching the reception of the Hyatt Centric Milano, the mural of the artist Elia Barbieri catches the eye. GEPLAN DESIGN has many contacts with the Milanese art and creative scene. Their works enrich the ambience in various areas.

Ancient walls and colorful, stylish furniture receive the visitors of the Hyatt Centric Murano Venezia. While masses of tourists sit down here during the day, the place becomes a quiet refuge in the evening.

GEPLAN DESIGN has a creative soft spot for the niche: both communicative and withdrawn at the same time, it is a place of well-being. Here, too, the concept “Glass & Water” is taken up.

Take your shoes off and enjoy: GEPLAN designed a cozy niche, a stylish retreat in the middle of the lobby in the Hyatt Centric Milano.

The Rivalonga Bar + Lounge emanates much warmth due to the earthy tones of seating furniture and wall covering. In the various areas, GEPLAN DESIGN would like to provide guests with special seating and spatial experiences. The delicate floating lights remind a bit of air bubbles under water, which makes sense on an island…

In the cocktail bar, the interior designers of GEPLAN DESIGN also play with the concept “Glass & Water“: the color blue, shining surfaces, light effects reminding of the movement of waves, the use of many different glasses. With this concept developed by GEPLAN DESIGN, the originality of the place can be experienced in many places in the hotel: Murano and its glass art.

The two new Hyatt Centric hotels in Milan and Venice were designed by GEPLAN DESIGN in their public and gastronomic areas, and receive guests with a lot of art, atmosphere, exciting style worlds and an urban jungle. “Ideally custom-made to the needs of predominantly younger travelers searching for unforgettable ‘Instagram-able moments’ and enjoying and wanting to share them.“ This is how interior designer Cord Glantz, who manages GEPLAN DESIGN together with his twin brother Rolf, characterizes the majority of guests – whether they check in in Milan, only five minutes to walk from the main station, or enjoy the trip with a Vaporetto to Murano, and find the short way to the Hyatt Centric Murano Venice from the first stop. It is also possible to extend the business trip and enjoy the special attractions of the places in private: “Bleisure travel”, the combination of business and leisure trips is becoming more and more popular.
One in the vibrant activity of the Lombard capitol, the other one in the silence after the numerous day tourists have gone home, a refuge as of the early evening. The two hotels could hardly be more differently located. They are worlds apart also from an architectural point of view: In Milan, an office high-rise building from the 1960s that was designed by the architect Giuseppe Valtolina, who had designed the famous Pirelli highrise in Milan together with Giò Ponti, was converted into a modern hotel in 2015 – and in Venice the Hyatt Centric Murano resides within the historical walls of a former glass-blowing workshop. After the conversion and redesign of the publicly accessible areas like reception, lounge and gastronomy, both buildings are characterized by a distinctive ease, a special feel for colors and materials as well as the pronounced sense for eyecatchers.
