The overall project is divided into three parts: a new customer center, a new reception building, and a parking garage. The spatial and structural reorganization of a portion of the company premises also comprises the renaturation of the two existing streambeds and redesign of the open spaces. The convex curved facades of the reception building and the customer center create space in a visually pleasing and efficient manner with minimized enveloping surfaces. The new structures are integrated into the valley as an organically flowing formation and create a transition to the rationally structured factory site.
Their glass facades are designed with perforated, rotatable vertical slats in front, which filter the surrounding space. The semi-transparent facades create a unique lighting atmosphere in the inside. The generously glazed lounge areas open outward, taking in the natural environment and creating a distinctly different, new working environment. The property is located in scenic surroundings at the end of a valley north of Schwäbisch Gmünd in Baden-Württemberg. Wooded hills surround the factory site, which is crossed by two streams. The aim of the project was to create a high-quality and modern work environment, both indoor and outdoors, that vitalizes the site as a whole.
