The assignment of the individual structures is based on the urban planning model. Clearly defined volumes form an ensemble
The building on the corner of the plot (“structural element 1”) is fully uplifted from the ground-floor level and forms a striking volume because of its height. It allows an open pedestrian connection between the courts and public green areas, as well as an open access to the apartments. Two east-west oriented structures convey the components of the adjacent building site (“structural elements 2 + 3”). They are located at distance from the first building and thus ensure additional transparency between the Aspang street and the public green area located in the south of the construction site. All apartments are naturally lit from South or West thanks to the openings on the entire height of the buildings. The building volumes seem uplifted because of the recessed basement which comprises the common areas.
