The two high point arch tensile structures at the south coast of Malta shelter the more than 3000 years old Unesco World Heritage Sites of the megalith temples Hagar Qim and Mnajdra in order to protect them from further decay. The geometry had to respect the astronomical view axes and the curvilinear alignments. Beside the two shelters the site encompasses a visitor centre with auditorium and exhibition spaces, as well as a cafeteria. The planning and construction process had to respect severe requirements with regard to the protection of the archaeological site and of the integral nature resort that surrounds it.
