What began as modest outdoor living space was transformed into a landscape of grand scale. Enlarging the outdoor living area struck a harmonious balance between the large scale of the house and the openness of the nature beyond has been achieved. The geometry of the garden works in broad gestures, using the shapes of the architecture near the residence to integrate the house and garden, and transforming into organic waves at the property edge to tie the site into its surroundings. A minimalistic planting palette, informed by the surrounding environment, allows the nature to be brought close to the house in comfortable way. This simple backdrop of green is easily accented by splashes of color, both in furniture choice and seasonal blooms.
