Aside from a central urban situation and excellent public transport connections, the housing project offers sunny apartments with generous outdoor spaces around a park-like inner courtyard. As the developers were planning two projects on adjoining properties, the court could be developed for use by both residential buildings. Utilizing this potential of outdoor space, it was possible to create attractive, absolutely secluded inner-city apartments with a special atmosphere and identity.
The project consists of two volumes: on the north side the court is shielded off from the street by a high block building which is set back from the street by the depth of the front garden. On the south side, a low building is so positioned on the site that, if full use is made of the developable part of the site as well as of day- and sunlight, optimum allocation of outdoor spaces is achieved.
All apartments are oriented toward the quiet court and have private outdoor spaces. The ground-floor apartments have their own little gardens; apartments on the upper floors have loggias or terraces. A communal terrace in the north-side building completes the offer of semi-public and private outdoor space.
In addition to the mix of apartment types, extra rooms are offered in the north-side building, which may either be incorporated in the apartments as guest rooms of home offices or can be rented out as office space or working rooms.
