In 2004, the building was selected as the winning project in an Austria-wide competition and represents an innovative method of caring for seniors and people with dementia. It offers a hotel atmosphere with a view of the surrounding landscape, open reception areas to the inner courtyard, sun-drenched living rooms and, in the evening, atmospheric Lounges with log fires. The aim is to remind residents, employees or guests as little as possible of the often difficult care situation and instead to enable high-quality living.
