The austere granite facades characterize the three volumes that compose this rural complex, that once was the central to the “stazzu”. These buildings are typical of the Gallura territory in northern Sardegna. The transformation of the buildings into a vacation home within the context of a uncontaminated landscape requires a discrete intervention and awareness of the location’s existing resources. The environmental strategies applied to the building and the application of modern technologies that utilize renewable resources (remote controlled photovoltaics, solar collectors and heat pump) provide to the complex a complete energetic autonomy without altering the formal character of the original structure.
