Stefan Rimpf is the lead architect and owner of rimpf Architektur, a German-based architectural practice. He holds engineering degrees of both, the Stuttgart Technology University of Applied Sciences and the University of Stuttgart and worked for the internationally distinguished architectural company GMP (Gerkan, Marg and Partners) as project lead. During that time, he was responsible for several impressive construction projects, among other things, the new terminal of the Stuttgart Airport.
In 1992, Stefan Rimpf became partner in the architectural firm Haß + Partner, which he took over and renamed it after seven years. Since his entry, the practice has steadily grown and is nowadays represented with permanent offices in the three cities Eckernförde, Hamburg, and Greifswald. The firm’s mission defines itself as generalist for integrated construction challenges and the portfolio includes strong expertise in the development and realization of clinical, entertainment, educational, and residential projects.
Stefan Rimpf is member of the Chamber of Architects in the states of Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is an appointed fellow of the Association of German Architects (BDA). Since the continuously training of the team is an important principle of the whole company, he is a certified expert for building damages and the evaluation of developed and undeveloped estates as well as for fire protection measurements. In addition, he is an active member of the federation of healthcare planning architects (AKG). He is frequently selected as specialist judge for architectural competitions and member of the advisory board for urban planning of the city Flensburg.
