Developed with the aim of pushing the university to the forefront of neuroscience and behavioral science research, the new complex is a part of a natural sciences neighborhood that Princeton is creating. The two-building complex promotes the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary neuroscience research and bridges many disciplines. The complex, which encompasses 235,000 gross square feet, features state-of-the-art research facilities, meeting rooms, faculty offices and instructional space. The laboratories feature state of the art equipment ranging from traditional neurophysiological recording and measurement to Princeton’s current $1.8 million, four-ton multifunctional magnetic resonance imaging scanner, which is used for detailed brain scans.
