This swimming pool with Olympic-size dimensions serves the local swimming club and is located in a complex that includes a number of facilities for diverse sporting activities. The site, between an existing pool and a hockey field, was constricted and the transparency and permeability, as well as the articulation of the volumes diminished the monumentality of the building. A retractable roof was designed that would allow for covering or opening up the pool its use possible in both winter and summer. The stands, with a seating capacity for 500 persons, are located on the south side to provide protection from the sun for both the spectators as well as the swimmers. In front of the shorter side, there is a lineal volume that is the new entrance facade, thereby unifying the image of the club. This concept of unification was also developed functionally thanks to the intercommunication of the same circulation system throughout the entire building.
