Architect

New innovative, ecological and sustainable urban quarter.

The design consist of two residential buildings with 18.300 m2 for 207 apartments, 1.000 m2 of commercial space on the ground floor and an underground garage of 7.000 m2. The apartments offer views both on the inner green courtyard and the surrounding landscape, including the Alps on the horizon. Stretching from facade to facade, they have large common spaces and open kitchens.

The two buildings are part of a larger ensemble of six residential buildings with 550 apartments and an office building with a total floor area of 65.900 m2. The masterplan designed by Bauart creates a new centrality and offers an attractive place to live and work. The various uses, shops and activities ensure a lively and dynamic neighbourhood and generate daily encounters. The parks, playgrounds and green heart connect the various residential buildings.

The new Oassis quarter is located in Crissier, in the heart of western Switzerland, at the edge of Lausanne. The aim of the project was to create an innovative, ecological and sustainable urban quarter into the heterogeneous environment.
