passive penthouse, brussels

This compact but spacious home in the dense urban fabric was obtained by transforming an unused attic into a passive duplex penthouse. Recessed façades on the street side create terraces overlooking the park. The third terrace at the backis the ideal spot in which to enjoy some sun. The void and staircase let the sunlight reach the lower floor. Wood was chosen as a light and environment-conscious material.
