With the acquisition of the two adjacent properties to Villahermosa Palace, the Museum can be expanded to locate the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza. From the beginning Enlargement also represents an opportunity to update and enhance those spaces and complementary versions of the exhibition from the permanent collection that are vital to any modern museum: temporary exhibition hall and context, reception and storage of works , restoration workshop, space for educational programs and private events, cafeteria, offices, closets, warehouses, kitchens ... and, therefore, uses and relationships are sized according to a resultant Museum which now manages two collections, two hundred thousand more visitors and a third of its new surface.
