Romi Khosla studied architecture at the Architectural Association in London, receiving the AA diploma in 1972. He has lectured extensively in Europe, the US and India. Having earlier graduated in Economics at the University of Cambridge, he has a wide understanding of urban issues which enable him to work and write about the city and its future. He has designed a large number of buildings many of which have been extensively published in International and national journals.

Graduated from the Architectural in London and after a brief stint working at Allies & Morrison in London, returned to India to set up Romi Khosla Design Studios (RKDS). Since the studio has been set up, Martand has designed a wide range of projects that include SEZ’s, Townships, Corporate buildings, Institutional Buildings, high end Residential Projects, small hotels and a number of Retail and Corporate Interiors.
Under him, the studio is constantly pushing the boundaries of design and developing a culturally, climatically and materially relevant architecture for India. These searches have automatically allowed for greater sustainability in design and architectural thinking. Besides the private sector, the studio under Martand is committed to building for the under privileged of India. At any given time there are a number of projects that the studio works with for Non profit organisations.
