Caroline Bos (1959) studied History of Art at Birkbeck College of the University of London and Urban and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Geosciences, University of Utrecht. In 1988 she founded Van Berkel & Bos Architectuurbureau with the architect Ben van Berkel, extending their joint theoretical and writing projects to the practice of architecture. Realized publications include Reflections, small stuff by UNStudio (2010), Design Models (2006) and Move (1999).
Caroline Bos has lectured and taught at many architectural schools around the world. Central to her and Ben van Berkel’s teaching is the inclusive approach of architectural works integrating virtual and material organization and engineering constructions. Currently she is External Examiner at DRL, Architectural Association, London.

Ben van Berkel studied architecture at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and at the Architectural Association in London, receiving the AA Diploma with Honours in 1987.
Ben van Berkel has lectured and taught at many architectural schools around the world and in January 2011 he will begin a semester teaching at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Currently he is Professor Conceptual Design at the Staedelschule in Frankfurt am Main and Visiting Professor at the School of Design at Harvard University. Central to his teaching is the inclusive approach of architectural works integrating virtual and material organization and engineering constructions.
