LIFE IN THE WOODS

The proposed residence is part of the development of 8 acres of land privately owned by a family in Kotturpuram, in the heart of Chennai. The heavily wooded site on the banks of the Adyar River, also abutted by private paddy fields, offers a rare opportunity to live amidst nature within the hustle of the city. The existing architectural components of the site are the current residence of the family, a number of automobile stalls and servants’ quarters.

The goal of the project is to design a house that integrates itself with the nature.
