Atelier Liu Yuyang Architects (ALYA)

The old factory is transformed into an art center for ceramic art works.The strategy is to add new functional space into the original large-span spatial structure to create a flexible and enjoyable exhibition room. Besides, various scale of spaces satisfy different requirements of diverse ceramic exhibition. We use the combination of curved walls to reconfigure the space in Phase I. Buildings with different heights diversify the adjacent city context. Main part of the hotel at south is renovated from the existing dormitory structure and more blocks are added at north within the boundary of the original building.
