The HiLase building performs as a repetitive lasers research centre. It consists of two-storeyed mechanical and thermal-stabilized research hall and three-storeyed bend shaped administrative wing with cantilevered lecture hall above main entrance.
During designing the new object, the neighbourhood-sensitive situation and respecting of neighbouring chateau were accentuated. A dominant bracket volume on the corner of the object accents the main entrance and forms a “screen“ of the lecture hall. As an uniforming sign appearing in the interior and exterior as well as in the parterre there is a laser ray symbol, most noticeable in the paving permeating both through the inner and outer spaces.
For the facade of administrative building was chosen aluminium sheath, a “champagne“ coloured brushed aluminium cladding on this object, articulated by cassettes combined into bigger systems, clearly concurring incorporated balconies and protruding floor blades. The aluminium panel system is using a metallic effect allowing the reflections of the sun and visually relieving the mass of the object.
The surface of façade of laser hall building is made of hand-drawn slotted plaster giving the facade a specific look.
