A short film from the National Trust for Historic Preservation laments the loss of Bertrand Goldberg's Prentice Women's Hospital in Chicago through a time-lapse film of its 2014 demolition.
Adding perspective to what happened are words from Denise Scott Brown at the beginning of the two-minute film:
There's always a reaction against the style of the recent past. If a building can survive its next generation, then it will probably last for a very long time.
Goldberg's Prentice Women's Hospital lasted from 1975 until 2014.
