Aeon Video presents a 10-minute film directed by Stella Kyriakopoulos that follows Bob Gardner, a retired engineer from Hampton, Illinois, who dreams of visiting the Parthenon on the Acropolis in Athens, Greece – despite the fact he is blind.
As much a testament to the lasting power of the landmark of Ancient Greece, the film touches on just how blind people can "see" and experience architecture, and how they need to overcome the stereotypes and low expectations that are thrust upon them.
