AL_A's contribution, the second MPavilion following the inaugural one by Sean Godsell, came down in February 2016. A few weeks later Naomi Milgrom, whose eponymous foundation organizes the annual commission, announced it would be given to the city and move to a public park in Collins Street. MALA studio, whose masterplan for Places Victoria transforms the eastern portion of Docklands Park into a recreational and cultural hub, installed the pavilion adjacent to a lawn and near some playing fields and exercise areas. The installation of MPavilion has coincided with the the completion of the first stage of MALA studio's masterplan.

AL_A's MPavilion is made up of thin, lightweight "petals" fitted with LED lights and propped upon slender columns. Godsell's inaugural MPavilion, made of operable panels that open the pavilion like a flower, was moved to the Hellenic Museum following its tenure in Queen Victoria Gardens. The third iteration, designed by Bijoy Jain out of bamboo and other natural materials, will be on display from October 2016 to February 2017.
